Game Rules

These are the rules of the ProFussball prediction game: how to play, when predictions lock, and exactly how points are scored.

Playing

• You need a free account to make predictions.
• For each match you predict the final score — the number of goals for each team.
• You can edit your prediction until kickoff. After kickoff, the prediction is locked.
• Your prediction is hidden from other players until kickoff.

Rooms and standings

• Private rooms are separate leagues where your display name is shown to the other members of the room. Each room keeps its own standings based on the points you earn.

How points are scored

Points are awarded per match as follows:

• Exact score = 5 points. If you predict the exact final score, you get 5 points for that match.
• If your prediction is not exact, you can earn partial points that add together:
  • +1 for the correct outcome (the right winner, or correctly predicting a draw);
  • +1 for the correct goal difference;
  • +1 for getting one team's exact number of goals right.
• Points accumulate across the tournament — your total is the sum of points from every match you predicted.

Results and corrections

Official match results may be updated or corrected after a match. If a result changes, the points awarded for affected predictions may be recalculated accordingly.
